Six-Month Labor Market Oriented Course Scholarship Program (LMP)

The LMP was designed based on two key factors. First, courses were tailored using survey research, including industry focus groups, conducted prior to launch. The curriculum—covering fields like Computerized Decoration and Carpentry, Cooling & Air Conditioning Engineering, Electrical Installations and Control Machines, Industrial Fashion Design, and Mobile Phone Maintenance—was developed in collaboration with LTUC, the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), and the Technical & Vocational Skills Development (TVSD) Commission, with EDU-SYRIA’s participation.  The Teacher Certificate Scholarship Program (TCSP) will enable trainees to obtain a certificate of trained teachers. Based on different sources of evidence, obtaining this certificate significantly is a turning point to the beneficiaries’ lives. The reason is that many practicing teachers do not have any special preparation for the teaching profession. The purpose of this action, implemented by ZU and PSUT, is to provide high school-Tawjihi- Syrian refugee holders with a full scholarship to earn their bachelor’s degree.
