Brussels Delegation visited  EDU-SYRIA Project

A high-level delegation from Brussels visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) on Sunday, November 3, 2024, to meet with EDU-SYRIA project’s team members.  The delegation was welcomed by EDU-SYRIA project manager, Dr. Dhiah Abu-Tair and  Queen Rania Teaching Academy  Director of Strategic Development, Mr. Abed Shamlawi, and EDU-SYRIA team, who shared updates on the project’s achievements and future goals. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program held an academic meeting to welcome new students awarded the EDU-SYRIA IV scholarship at the conference hall of Zarqa University. EDU-SYRIA IV Bachelor Scholarship Program’s Results

A total of 2353 applications were submitted to EDU-SYRIA IV Bachelor Scholarship Program for the academic year of 2024/2025. A net of 244 applicants were accepted with 174 from the urban setting (outside refugee camps) and 70 applicants from refugee camps. In addition of being (i) Syrian refugee, (ii) has a magnetic security card, (iii) resident of Jordan, (iv) has a registration document for refugees issued by the UNHCR, (v) has a Jordanian Tawjihi in 2022, 2023 or 2024, (vi) younger than 28 years, and (vii) successfully completed the scholarship application at EDU-SYRIA portal, the following criteria were used.  No. College Tawjihi …
