Call for Papers: GJU Announces the International Conference on Syrian Higher Education Transformation (ICSHET 2026)

The German Jordanian University (GJU), through the Syrian Innovation in Academia (SyrIA) Project, implemented with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), has announced the International Conference on Syrian Higher Education Transformation (ICSHET 2026), which will be held in Amman from November 24 to 26, 2026.

As part of the SyrIA Project’s efforts to promote academic exchange, institutional cooperation, and dialogue on the development and transformation of Syrian higher education, ICSHET 2026 will bring together researchers, higher education institutions, and international partners to exchange knowledge, explore opportunities for cooperation, and contribute to discussions on the future development and sustainability of Syrian higher education.

With a focus on the transformation, recovery, and future development of Syrian higher education, ICSHET 2026 will provide a platform for diverse academic and institutional perspectives to discuss priorities, challenges, opportunities, and approaches for strengthening higher education institutions and academic cooperation.

Six main tracks will be addressed throughout the conference: Governance, Leadership and Institutional Transformation; Quality Assurance and Accreditation; Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Research Infrastructure; Internationalization, Research Cooperation and Academic Mobility; Curriculum, Skills, Employability and Lifelong Learning; and Universities in Recovery, Rebuilding and Sustainable Development.

In this context, GJU invites researchers and academics to submit their scientific papers in line with the conference tracks and submission guidelines.
