EDU-SYRIA V Awards 135 Scholarships to Syrian Refugee Students in Jordan

The EDU-SYRIA V Scholarship Programme has awarded 135 scholarships to Syrian refugee students in Jordan following its application and selection process. The programme received 892 applications, of which 158 applicants were interviewed at Zarqa University on 10 October 2026.

The scholarship recipients include 98 female students and 37 male students. Among the recipients, 26 students are from Zaatari or Azraq refugee camps, representing 19.26% of the scholarships awarded.

Applicants who were awarded scholarships met all of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a Syrian refugee.
  • Hold a magnetic security card.
  • Reside in Jordan.
  • Hold a valid refugee registration document issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
  • Have obtained a Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) in 2025 or 2026.
  • Be younger than 28 years of age.
  • Have successfully completed the scholarship application through the EDU-SYRIA portal.

In addition to these requirements, academic cut-off scores were applied during selection. The minimum Tawjihi score for scholarship eligibility was 85.1%, while the minimum score for the Pharmacy specialization was 93%.
