Signing EDU-Syria II Contract with the Delegation of the European Union

On Monday 06/03/2017, a signature ceremony held in the European Union center in Amman to sign EDU-Syria II contract, which is the second phase of EDU-Syria project, committing EUR 11 million to the program funded by ‘Madad’ fund. This project will provide 1000 scholarships for the Syrian refugees and unprivileged Jordanians in the refugee hosting communities in cooperation with Jordan University of Science and Technology, Zarqa University and Al-Quds College. Mohanad Batarseh and Mr. Ahmad Qawasmeh, visited Al-Quds College for two days Thursday 02/03/2017 and Saturday 04/03/2017. On Wednesday 22/02/2017, a delegation from EDU- Syria project represented by the director of the project Dhiah Abou-Tair, Dr. Ala Khalifeh, Dr. Loay Salhiah, Mr. Fawwaz Saqar, Eng. Mohanad Batarseh and Mr. Ahmad Qawasmeh visited Zarqa University, to interview the eligible candidates for “EDU-Syria II” cohort 2 scholarship which is funded by the European Union. Today a delegation from project EDU- Syria represented by the director of the project Dhiah Abou-Tair and the academic coordinator, Dr. Ala Khalifeh visited Zarqa University, and met with Syrian students who’s funded by EDU- Syria I and EDU- Syria II projects, and the visit focused on communicating with students.
