EDU-SYRIA held the fifth Management meeting

Amman. On July 19th, 2018, EDU-SYRIA team held the fifth Quarterly Management meeting at German Jordanian University (GJU), to discuss the Programmes’ progress, the financial status, academic aspects, and other different issues in the programme. In attendance, as members of the management team, were the EDU-SYRIA Coordinators in Partner institutes, along with the Attaché/Programme Manager Education and Youth of the EU Delegation to Jordan Mr. Job Arts, and Ms. Maria Rosa Vettoretto from EU Regional Trust Fund, ‘Madad’. In addition, a student representative from each university attended the meeting. EDU-SYRIA Participate in EU event about the Syrian refugee crisis

Brussels, Belgium. On June 19th 2018, EDU-SYRIA team took part in an event hosted by the EU in Brussels entitled “Europe’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis: delivering effective aid in partnership with the region” to address successes and challenges in the delivery of help to people affected by the crisis and to explore ways to better include them when designing and implementing aid programmes. Amman, Jordan. On Sunday 10 June 2018, The High Representative/Vice-President of the EU. Federica Mogherini, visited the German Jordanian University to attend the recognition of achievement ceremony of the second batch of EDU-SYRIA graduates. The HR/VP visit was accompanied by the EU Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Matteo Fontana,  the German Ambassador Birgitta Siefker-Eberle, the representative of Ministry of Higher Education and the German Jordanian University president Prof. Manar Fayyad. Iftar Banquet for Edu-Syria Students

Zarqa, Jordan. On Tuesday, ay 22nd and June 4th, 2018, EDU-SYRIA organized Iftar banquets for 400 students enrolled in the program. The Iftars were held at Zarqa University and Al-Quds College, respectively with the presence of “Madad” team, representatives of the EU Delegation in Jordan, representatives from the German Embassy in Jordan, the German Jordanian University (GJU) team and both EDU-SYRIA Zarqa and Al-Quds teams. EDU-SYRIA in SABE Career fair

On Monday, 7 May 2018, EDU-SYRIA graduates joined a career fair organized by the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) at the German Jordanian University. This career fair targets graduates and students who major in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Design and Visual Communication. EDU-SYRIA students got the chance to network with representatives of companies/offices, and discussed with them jobs and internships offers.

EDU-SYRIA opens an academic corner in Zarqa University

Zarqa, Jordan. On Sunday 22 April 2018, representatives of the EU Delegation to Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Job Arts and Ms. Paulina Gajewska, along with Ms. Maria Rosa Vettoretto from EU Regional Trust Fund, ‘Madad’, opened the EDU-SYRIA academic corner in Zarqa University. The Academic corner is an area where EDU-SYRIA students at Zarqa University can gather, study, discuss and exchange knowledge and experience. The facility is located in the middle of Zarqa University in the Al-Farouk Building, room 138 with an area of 85m2.The facility is equipped with 20 laptops, 2 printers and 1 copier.
