The Ambassador of the European Union to Jordan Visits GJU

The Ambassador to the European Commission to Jordan; Mrs. Joanna Wronecka visited German Jordanian university (GJU) , to know more about the successful experience and achievements of the university and to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the scientific and academic fields.

Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid expressed his delight for having Her Excellency at GJU campus, hoping that the visit was the first step to opening doors to the relations between GJU and the European Union to Jordan; especially that GJU is the Arab World’s gateway to the European countries in general and Germany in particular and a cultural bridge that link the two cultures.

Prof. Abu Obeid pointed out the importance of the fourth school year spent by GJU students in Germany which includes studying at the German educational institutions and a practical training at German companies and factories.

Assistant to the President for Communication and Public Relations; Dr. Yasser Rajjal has held a short presentation about GJU’s site, Management, Mission, the German year, Bachelor and Master Academic programs, and University’s relations with the public and private sectors.

Dr. Dhiah el Diehn I. Abou-Tair from the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Information Technology briefed about the educational project to be implemented with the support of the European Union to support graduate students in Jordan and Syria.

For her part, Mrs. Wronecka praised the outstanding level of the University and its interest in the applied aspects, pointing out the importance of increasing the coordination between the two parties to come out with educational projects that serve the Jordanian and Arab youth.

At the end of the meeting that was attended by the Vice president for International Affairs; Professor Dr. Anton Mangstl, Assistants to the president and the Dean of Management and Logistic Sciences School, and from the European Commission to Jordan; Mr. Oscar Kazemean. And her Excellency toured the various facilities and laboratories of the university.
