Monitoring visit by independent observer on behalf of the EU
Last week, from 2nd until 10th of November 2016, a monitoring visit from an independent observer (Ms. Denise Colonna) on behalf of the EU visited EDU-SYRIA project, in order to evaluate the progress of the project, and during this visitation she met with the project partners Yarmouk University, Al Quds College and Zarqa University.
On the first day, the 2nd of November, Ms. Denise visited German Jordanian University (GJU) and met with GJU president (Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid), GJU vice president (Prof. Dorit Schumann), EDU-SYRIA project manager (Dr. Dhiah Abou-Tair) and the EDU-SYRIA team.
On the Second day, the 3rd of November, Ms. Denise, Dr. Omar Hiari and Eng. Mohanad Batarseh visited Yarmouk University (YU), and met with the YU vice president, and after that she met with 25 master students, who’s funded by the project.
On the Fifth day, the 6th of November, Ms. Denise and Dr. Loay Salhieh and visited Al Quds College, and met with Luminus Education group (CEO, COO), Al Quds College Dean, and some of the students, who’s funded by the project from the two phases.
On the sixth day, the 7th of November, Ms. Denise met with the scholarship financial department at GJU.
On the eighth day, the 9th of November, Ms. Denise and Dr. Ala Khalifeh visited Zarqa University (ZU), and met with the ZU president and Deans, and after that she met with some of the students, who’s funded by the project.
On the last day, the 10th of November, Ms. Denise met with Edu-Syria team for a feedback at GJU.
