EDU-SYRIA Third round interview at Zarqa University

Today the EDU-SYRIA II project delegation visited Zarqa University, during this meeting they met with student candidates for admission, totaling 300 students for the first semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This meeting was attended by EDU-SYRIA project manager (Dr. Dhiah Abou-Tair), the academic supervisor (Dr. Ala’ Khalifeh), a representative from the UNHCR (Dr. Awad El-Shiekh) and the British Council, and the students’ questions and inquiries were answered.

The Admissions and Registration Unit director Dr. Khalid Al-Zaidin, explained how students have gone through the process of enrolling in to the programs and applying for the scholarship at the Zarqa University.

He added that the scholarships are for Syrian students who have dropped their university studies, disciplines in order to contribute to the mitigation of seekers and enable them to complete their university studies, indicating that the Syrian refugee’s education is an education project funded by the European Union to re-Syrian students of seats in the university.
