Vocational Education Scholarship Program (VESP)

The VESP action is jointly implemented by Luminus Technical University College (LTUC) and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), offering technical diploma programs in practical fields closely aligned with labour-market demand, spanning digital, technical, service, and green-economy occupations. Course offerings are shaped through ongoing consultation with the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC), sector skills councils, and employers, ensuring training tracks real hiring needs rather than fixed programme lists.

VESP combines classroom and workshop-based instruction with hands-on workplace exposure, employer assessment, and career guidance, while providing students with stipend support throughout their studies. The program serves two core goals: expanding access to technical and vocational education for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, and strengthening graduates’ employability through competency-based training, certification, job matching, self-employment pathways, and recognition of prior learning. Diploma programs run for approximately three years, equipping students with industry-relevant skills for workforce readiness.
