“I am an example of a girl who did not allow her living situation become an obstacle in achieving her dream”

I am a student from a village in Irbid.

Despite the challenges a girl faces in any village in the Arab world, I am an example of a girl who did not allow her living situation to become an obstacle in achieving her dream.
My academic excellence began at a very early age when
I wrote a research paper in the 9th grade about why students struggle in learning mathematics from a student and teacher perspective. I studied psychological guidance
after achieving a public secondary certificate average of 88.1 in the scientific stream.

I completed my Bachelor Degree with a very good average. Thereafter, I worked as a trainee guidance counsellor at a high school. I have always longed to complete my Master’s and PhD Degrees and become a doctor at Yarmouk University. One day I was scrolling the university’s website and read that the European Union was offering for the first time scholarships for Master Degrees. As a result, I rushed to apply for a scholarship and successfully received it. Finally, I was now able to achieve my dream in completing my Master’s Degree.

I now aspire to further complete my higher education and apply for a PhD program. I hope through my education to benefit my country and support people in need, especially refugees.
