Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT)

Founded in 1991, Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) is one of the best private and non-profit universities in Jordan. It is owned by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), the foremost applied research center in Jordan. Like RSS, PSUT is part of El Hassan Science City, located in Amman, Jordan. PSUT focuses on promoting solid research in the leading technological fields and building a research platform for the Jordanian industry. Being part of El Hassan Science City, PSUT strives to create a culture of entrepreneurship among its students. PSUT is licensed, and all its programs are accredited by the Jordanian Higher Education Accreditation Commission.  PSUT is a pioneering educational institution that combines excellence with innovation and provides students with a high-quality education in multiple specialisations. It enables them to contribute to the development of their communities and keeps them abreast of contrasting global advances in the fields of Engineering, Computing sciences, Business and Technology.

PSUT has a long track record in scientific cooperation with Europe in several FP7, Tempus and Erasmus Mundus projects and with close links with many European universities. PSUT strives to become a nucleus for a modern Jordanian knowledge industry, which actively animates the process of socio-economic and cultural development locally, regionally, and globally.

The King Hussein School for IT

PSUT has emerged in the past years as a centre of excellence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education, research and innovation and a model of the future university in Jordan. This objective was achieved by establishing the King Hussein School for IT in the academic year 2005–2006. The King Hussein School for Information Technology at PSUT was established in the academic year 2005–2006. This new establishment aligns with PSUT’s master plan to develop and improve its facilities and faculties. The faculty consists of four academic departments:

The King Hussein School for Information Technology offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Graphics and Animation, and Software Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and a Master of Science in Computer, Data Science, Cyber Security, Enterprise Systems Engineering and Health Information Technology, and PhD in Computer Science.

Since PSUT was established in 1991, over 1,200 students graduated with a BS degree in Computer Science.

In fact, PSUT is ranked 401-450 in the QS World University Ranking by Subject, 2022, for Computer Science and Information Systems.
