Entrepreneurship Training Scholarship Program Information Session for EDU-SYRIA Beneficiaries

Zarqa University hosted an information session by the leading business accelerator & seed investor Luminus Jordan Start to introduce the Entrepreneurship Training Scholarship Program (ETSP) provided by EDU-SYRIA for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians to turn ideas into actual businesses on Thursday 1st of December 2022.

The information session was moderated by Ms. Anwar Bani Amer, the Outreach Officer at Luminus Jordan Start) and attended by Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri, the Academic Advisor of EDU-SYRIA at Zarqa University, and more than 100 enrolled and graduated students who were invited and expressed their interest in applying for the Entrepreneurship Training Scholarship Program.

The session took place over two-time slots for around two hours for each slot in which the online application, the requirement and selection criteria were presented. Students were encouraged to submit creative ideas that could be turned into actual businesses to serve the local community.

It is worth mentioning that this session came within the framework of the joint work among EDU-SYRIA academic and non-academic partners.
