EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program Organizes Academic Gathering for Bachelors Students at Zarqa University
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program held an academic gathering at the Conference Hall of Zarqa University. The meeting was attended by the academic team members, including Prof. Ala’ Khalifa, the Academic Supervisor and Head of the Academic Committee, and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri, the Academic Advisor of the program at Zarqa University. The event was conducted over two consecutive sessions, welcoming around 300 students in total. Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri opened the meeting with a welcoming speech and provided an overview of the project’s progress and impact at Zarqa University in recent months.
The gathering covered several key topics:
- Introductory Presentation and Student Q&A: Prof. Ala’ Khalifa presented an update on the EDU-SYRIA program and engaged directly with students to answer their questions and provide guidance.
- Recognition of Academic Excellence: A number of students were honored with Certificates of Excellence for their outstanding academic performance.
- Laptop Distribution Initiative: Some students received laptops as part of the program’s ongoing support to enhance their academic journey.
The meeting concluded with a discussion among the academic team. Students expressed their appreciation to EDU-SYRIA and Zarqa University for the continuous support provided to Syrian students under the EU-funded program.
