EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program Launched Graduate Studies Scholarship Program (GSSP) under the EDU-SYRIA IV Project
The EDU-SYRIA program, funded by the European Union (EU) and managed by the German Jordanian University (GJU) in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), is pleased to announce a new package of fully funded scholarships for enrollment in graduate studies (Master’s degree) for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This program aims to support and empower two target groups: Jordanian youth from host communities who benefit from charitable support funds, and Syrian refugees holding asylum seeker and security cards in the host country (Jordan), enabling them to complete their postgraduate studies in specific disciplines at our partners’ universities. The goal is to enhance their academic and professional skills, improve their employability, and contribute to building a better future for themselves and their communities.
This package consists of 50 scholarships distributed as follows:
First: Scholarships for Syrian Refugees at the German Jordanian University
Five Master’s degree scholarships are offered to Syrian refugees (holders of asylum seeker or security cards) at the German Jordanian University in specific academic disciplines.
Second: Scholarships for Jordanians who Benefit from Charitable Support Funds at Partners’ Jordanian Universities
45 master’s degree scholarships are offered to Jordanians (beneficiaries of charitable support funds) at the following partner Jordanian universities:
- Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST)
- German Jordanian University (GJU)

It is worth noting that the EDU-SYRIA program is part of the project “Higher Education Support for Syrian Refugees and Jordanian Youth Beneficiaries of Charitable Support Institutions”, funded by the European Union. The project provides youth with the opportunity to pursue higher education (bachelor’s and master’s degrees), vocational education, or technical training, in addition to studying the Pre-service Teacher Diploma, participating in entrepreneurship support programs, preparatory courses for labor market entry, or summer programs for high school students.
Implemented by several institutions under the leadership of the German Jordanian University, the EDU-SYRIA project has awarded more than 4,000 scholarships to date.
