The EDU-SYRIA Project is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a comprehensive tracer study, tracking the post-graduation status of students, alongside a satisfaction survey capturing their experiences within the program. These initiatives aimed to collect valuable insights on the effectiveness of services provided by participating universities and institutions, as well as the impact of the scholarships on the employability of graduates. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program held an academic meeting to welcome new students awarded the EDU-SYRIA IV scholarship at the conference hall of Zarqa University. A partnership agreement of EDU-SYRIA IV was signed between the German Jordanian University and the German Academic Exchange Service on Tuesday 1/10/2024 at the German Jordanian University located in Jabal Amman. The President of the University, Prof . Dr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Halhouli, signed on behalf of the German Jordanian University and the Secretary General, Dr. Kai Sicks, on behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service. A total of 2353 applications were submitted to EDU-SYRIA IV Bachelor Scholarship Program for the academic year of 2024/2025. A net of 244 applicants were accepted with 174 from the urban setting (outside refugee camps) and 70 applicants from refugee camps. EDU-SYRIA announces that registration is open for The High-School Summer Program (HSSP). HSSP feeds into the Educational Pathway Approach, which is a model that all EDU-SYRIA III components are based on. Amman 4th June 2024 – His Excellency Mr. Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) to meet with students from the EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program and the Erasmus+ program.
