Bachelor Degree Scholarship 2024

The EDU-SYRIA/EDU-JORDAN program, funded by the European Union  and managed by the German Jordanian University, announces that the door is now open for Syrian refugees to apply for Bachelors degree scholarships at Zarqa University (all specializations except dentist)  and at Princess Sumaya University for Technology Universities (Information technology specialization only) for the upcoming academic year 2024/2025.

The registration period is open from Monday 26/08/2024 to Saturday 7/09/2024.

1. Applicants must be:

    1. Of Syrian nationality.
    2. Younger than 28 years old.
    3. The candidate should hold a the UNHCR Asylum Seeker Certificate.
    4. The candidate should hold the security card (Ministry of Interior card) for Syrian.
    5. Obtained the high school certificate (Jordanian Tawjihi) in 2024, 2023 or 2022.
    6. The priority will be given to candidates with a higher GPA and satisfy the previous conditions.

    2. Required documents :

      • A copy of the high school certificate (Jordanian Tawjihi).
      • Copy of the security card or Syrians (Ministry of Interior card).
      • Copy of the UNHCR Asylum Seeker Certificate.

      3. The registration process:

      •  Apply for the scholarship through the online application system.
      •  The best candidates, who meet the requirements, will be invited to an interview.
      • All applicants will be informed whether they were accepted or not.

      4. Important notes:

        • Registration in the  online application system is mandatory and no application will be considered otherwise.
        • The applicants should have an active email to create an account on the  online application system.
        • All the application process will be conducted completely online, and there is no need to come to the university physically.
        • This call for scholarships and the resulting selection process will be done in collaboration with the UNHCR

        The EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program is a humanitarian initiative funded by the European Union to improve the livelihood opportunities of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian youth, by providing access to higher and vocational education and enhancing their employability.

        The number of Bachelor scholarships available in EDU-SYRIA is 200 scholarships. The scholarships are available for the Fall 2024/2025 and implemented by Zarqa University (ZU) and Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).

        It will commence on August 26th, 2024, and will close on September 7th, 2024.

        Interested students can apply directly online through the EDU-SYRIA portal by following the detailed instructions provided in the call for applications.

        No, you have already had the chance, and we aim to maximize the benefits from the available scholarships offered by EDU-SYRIA.

        Yes, EDU-SYRIA aims to support Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian youth, even if they have previously benefited from EDU-SYRIA scholarships. As long as the previous scholarship was successfully completed without any issues or discontinuity, you are eligible to apply for new scholarships.

        If you need to withdraw for any reason, you should inform EDU-SYRIA immediately. The scholarship may then be reassigned to another eligible candidate.

        Yes, you may select more than one university. However, be sure to choose the institution(s) that best aligns with your academic and career goals.

        No, the entire application process is conducted online, so there is no need to visit ZU, PSUT, or GJU in person.
