Academic Meeting at Zarqa University

on Wednesday, 8 December 2021, The Academic Committee of the EDU-SYRIA Program held an academic meeting with EDU-SYRIA students at Zarqa University, in two separate sessions at Zarki Auditorium.

The meeting was organized by the Academic Committee: Dr. Ala’ Khalifa, EDU-SYRIA Academic supervisor, Prof. Khaled Al-Zaedeen, ZU Dean of Admission and Registration, and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri, EDU-SYRIA Academic Advisor at Zarqa University, and attended by more than one hundred students from the program beneficiaries. This meeting is part of a series of activities carried out by the program in all universities and partner institutions to find out the observations of students benefiting from the scholarship program.

 The meeting was opened by Dr. Zeadeen with a welcoming speech in which he welcomed the guests and students and reviewed the students’ academic performance during the recent period. After that, Dr. Khalifa began his speech by welcoming the new students and their old colleagues and reviewing the most prominent topics that touched their university life, stressing the need for students to commit to excellent academic performance that would enable the students to continue to benefit from these scholarships. Dr. Khalifa also continued his talk about the warning system in the program and the certificates of excellence granted to motivate and encourage students to continue their academic excellence. Dr. Khalifa referred to the need for students to be involved in the activities carried out by the EDU-SYRIA Program and Zarqa University, which contributes to refining the students’ personalities at this stage.

From his side, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri reviewed some observations that concern students, especially those related to the student’s active participation in qualitative activities.

At the end of the meeting, the academic committee listened to the students’ observations and inquiries, to be followed up in the coming period.

During the meeting, the Academic Committee honored the outstanding students and awarded them certificates of excellence in appreciation of their efforts and high academic performance.

In the end, the students thanked the EDU-SYRIA Program and Zarqa University for the attention and care they provide to the students.
