
EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program Holds Academic Gathering for Bachelor’s Students at Zarqa University
The EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program organized an academic gathering for bachelor’s degree students at Zarqa University on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the university’s Conference Hall. The meeting was conducted in one session and was attended by approximately 150 students benefiting from the scholarship.
The gathering was attended by members of the academic team, including Prof. Ala’ Khalifa, Academic Supervisor and Head of the Academic Committee, and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri, Academic Advisor of the EDU-SYRIA Program at Zarqa University.
The meeting opened with a welcoming speech delivered by Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hariri, who provided an overview of the project’s recent progress at Zarqa University and highlighted the academic and educational impact of the EDU-SYRIA Program on Syrian students.

- Introductory Presentation and Student Q&A:
Prof. Ala’ Khalifa delivered a comprehensive presentation on the EDU-SYRIA Program, outlining academic regulations, monitoring mechanisms, and student responsibilities. The session included an open discussion, during which students were able to raise questions and receive direct academic guidance. - Recognition of Academic Excellence:
A number of students were honored with Certificates of Academic Excellence in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and commitment. - Laptop Distribution Initiative:
As part of the program’s continuous support efforts, laptops were distributed to selected students to enhance their learning experience and support their academic progress.
A dedicated segment of the meeting was allocated to newly admitted scholarship students, during which they were introduced to the EDU-SYRIA Program framework, scholarship conditions, and academic expectations. The session also included a detailed explanation of how to register and access the EDU-SYRIA online platform, which serves as the primary channel for communication, academic follow-up, announcements, and student engagement. The gathering concluded with an open discussion between students and the academic team. Students expressed their appreciation to the EDU-SYRIA Program and Zarqa University for the continued support provided to Syrian students under this EU-funded initiative, emphasizing the importance
