EDU‑SYRIA — Project Officer (Amman, Jordan) 

About EDU‑SYRIA 

EDU‑SYRIA is an EU‑funded scholarship and training program managed by the German Jordanian University (GJU) supporting Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians. 

Role Summary 

We seek a proactive Project Officer to support implementation, reporting, and partner coordination across EDU‑SYRIA activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Coordinate activities and timelines; maintain accurate records. 

• Draft EU‑mandated documents and reports (interim/final, minutes). 

• Support visibility: website, social media, and short news/press notes. 

• Organize meetings, workshops, and events; manage logistics and minutes. 

• Liaise with partners, students, and stakeholders; respond to enquiries. 

• Handle basic procurement per procedures. 

• Provide Arabic–English translation/interpretation as needed. 

• Entrepreneurship component: coordinate trainings/workshops, liaise with partners/mentors, and track participant outcomes. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Profile 

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferably, a good GPA.). 

• Relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome. 

• Excellent Arabic and English; strong writing and editing. 

• Organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable follow‑through. 

• Proficient with office software and teleconferencing; social‑media experience is a plus. 

• Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and cross‑functional teams. 

Contract & Location 

Full‑time, annual contract (three‑month probation), based at GJU (Amman–Madaba Street). 

Compensation will be in accordance with the GJU salary scale. 

Start date: 01.01.2026.
