The Nineteenth Consortium Management Meeting at the German Jordanian University (GJU)
On October 30, 2025, the EDU-SYRIA project, funded by the European Union (EU) and managed by the German Jordanian University (GJU), convened its nineteenth consortium management meeting at GJU.
The meeting gathered the EDU-SYRIA management team, a representative from the European Union Delegation to Jordan (who joined online), and representatives from the project’s implementing partners, including Zarqa University (ZU), Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Yarmouk University (YU), Mutah University (MU), Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress of the EDU-SYRIA IV project, discuss current challenges, and plan for upcoming activities.
The discussions covered several key topics:
– The management team presented a detailed update on the overall progress of the project and highlighted recent developments across its various components and planning for the next components.
– Partners reviewed the achievements and implementation of EDU-SYRIA IV, including the Bachelor’s Scholarship Program (BSP), the Vocational Education Scholarship Program (VESP), and the Graduate Studies Scholarship Program (GSSP).
– The meeting also provided an opportunity for partners to share experiences, address implementation challenges, and propose recommendations for improving coordination and ensuring the project’s continued success.
It is worth noting that the consortium management meetings are held on a quarterly basis to evaluate project performance, strengthen collaboration among partners, and ensure that all activities are effectively implemented in alignment with the project’s objectives.
