Technical Degree Scholarships for Syrian Refugees and Jordanians – 2025

The EDU-SYRIA / EDU-JORDAN program, funded by the European Union and  managed by the German Jordanian University in partnership with several Jordanian and international educational institutions, announces the opening of applications for Technical Degree Scholarships at Al Hussein Technical University for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The scholarships are available to Syrian refugees in Jordan who hold a UNHCR asylum seeker card.

The application period starts on Monday 18/08/2025 and ends on Sunday, 31/08/2025.


1. Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be of Syrian nationality.
  • Syrian applicants must hold a UNHCR asylum seeker card.
  • Syrian applicants must hold a magnetic security card.
  • Applicants must have obtained their high school certificate in 2025 through formal education; repeat students (private study) are not accepted.
  • Applicants must be 28 years old or younger.
  • Priority will be given to applicants who meet the above conditions and have higher academic averages.

2. Required Documents

  • Certified transcripts for the Tawjehi in 2025.
  • Copy of the magnetic security card.
  • Copy of the UNHCR asylum seeker card.

3. Application Steps

  1. Register in the online scholarship application system through the link:

  2. The EDU-SYRIA team will review your application
  3. Distinguished candidates will be asked to continue the scholarship process with Al Hussein technical University
  4. All applicants will be notified whether they are accepted or not.

4. Important Notes

  • Registration through the program platform (https://edu-sys.eu/EduApplication) is mandatory, and no application submitted outside the platform will be considered.
  • Registration requires an active email address.

The EDU-SYRIA Scholarship Program is a humanitarian initiative funded by the European Union to improve the livelihood opportunities of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian youth, by providing access to higher and vocational education and enhancing their employability.

The number of technical degree scholarships currently available in the EDU-SYRIA Program is 40 scholarships (20 for Jordanians and 20 for Syrians). These scholarships are for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year and are offered through Al Hussein Technical University.

Only Syrian refugees residing in Jordan and Jordanians benefiting from the “Sanad Al-Aman” Fund are eligible.

Applications will open on August 18, 2025, and close on August31, 2025.
