EDU-SYRIA Trip to -Wadi Rum & Aqaba

On Friday & Saturday 23-24/05/2025, EDU-SYRIA team organized a two-day trip to Wadi Rum & Aqaba for 45 of EDU-SYRIA III students at Zarqa university to engage them with the Jordanian culture and heritage.

The trip started by picking up the students from Za’arary Camp, Mafraq. Zarka and Amman before moving to start their visit to Wadi Rum the ‘valley of the moon’, one of the most spectacular desert landscapes on earth, Wadi Rum started with the Jeep tour to enjoy the beauty of Wadi Rum desert sands, mountains and watch the charm of the sunset , after having dinner the students hiked for a one-hour in the desert through a magical night walk where they had the Bedouin tea while watching the magic of the desert stars before going back to the desert Camp to sleep and prepare their self’s for visiting Aqaba!

On Saturday morning after having their breakfast they headed to Aqaba, having the opportunity to discover the beautiful city and to enjoy the beauty of the sea, then having the unforgettable boat tour and having their lunch onboard before moving back home.

At the end of the trip the students expressed they’re thanks to the EU and EDU-SYRIA Program for organizing such a wonderful trip and appreciated the organizers efforts that made everything run smoothly, and appreciated all the details they took care of, and thanked the EU and EDU-SYRIA Program for a fantastic experience!
